How to customize or redirect your 404 page

If you want to customize your 404 page (the page your visitors see when a URL they try to visit does not exist) or you want to redirect to another page, please keep reading:

At the moment we do not have a built in feature in OptimizePress which allows you to set the redirection of missing pages / 404 to a custom page. However there are a number of plugins available for WordPress that can do this.

We have tested with a plugin called “404 to Start” which you can install by going to Plugins > Add New and then search for “404 to Start” and click install and then activate the plugin.

The options for this plugin will appear in the WordPress > Settings > 404 to Start section.

All you need to do is specify the URL that you want to redirect your 404 traffic to – this would be one of your OptimizePress created pages or any other page of your choice and save and you should be good to go.
