We often hear of users who want to sell multiple products or courses on one main OptimizePress and OptimizeMember installation. This guide will show you the way we recommend setting up your site if you wish to do this.
This guide focuses on using OptimizePress & OptimizeMember. If you are using a different membership solution you will need to consult the developer of that solution for documentation.
1. Setup Your Products or Courses
The first step is to define which products you want to sell and create the relevant content pages that will be included in each course or product.
For more steps on creating your membership pages see this guide:
2. Setup your Product Levels & Packages
If you wish to sell multiple products or courses on one site, we recommend that you use a separate membership level for each product. We also recommend that you create a custom “package” for each product. By using a level AND a package to protect your content, this means that higher levels, which normally have sequential access to lower levels, cannot access lower level content which also is protected with a package.
For example, let’s say you have 3 products, here’s what you would protect the relevant page content with corresponding to each product:
Beginners Guide to Rose Gardens: Protect this with level 1 and create a package called “beginner” which you would also use to protect all content in this product.
Intermediate Guide to Rose Gardens: Protect this with level 2 and create a package called “intermediate” which you would also use to protect all content in this product.
Experts Guide to Rose Gardens: Protect this with level 3 and create a package called “experts” which you would also use to protect all content in this product.
2a. How to setup your product packages
To create packages for your membership site, go to OptimizeMember > General Options > Define Membership Levels & Packages
Scroll down to the section titled Packages and enter your packages in the box provided:
You can find more information on protecting your pages with Levels and packages in this article:

You should now have your membership pages all setup for your different products, and you should have each product protected with BOTH a level and package
