How to Use or Hide The OptimizePress Author Box

NOTE: Starting with OptimizePress version 2.5.11 we introduced a newer theme that has a more modern design, faster loading pages, and better SEO. We would suggest trying out the new OptimizePress Smart Theme. If you have an active updates/support license you should see this in the members hub, along with a downloadable PDF step by step guide on how to use the new Smart Theme

We can no longer provide the older OptimizePress Theme files for download for new sites. If you have an existing site and need to re-install the theme files please contact our support team and they will gladly assist with that. For now, we will still provide updates and support for the older OptimizePress Theme

This guide is for the older OptimizePress Theme version and not for the new Smart Theme

In OptimizePress 2.5 we have a new feature which adds an Author Box below your blog post which can be used to provide a short bio of the post author.

To edit what shows in this section, just go to your WordPress Dashboard and click “Users > Your Profile” and after your profile edit page loads, scroll down till you see a section like this:

You can use this box to put in a short Author Bio to show within the Author Box at the bottom of your posts.

If you prefer to hide the Author box so you can use a different plugin to add one, then simply add the following CSS code under “OptimizePress > Blog Settings > Modules > Other Scripts > custom css”

.op-author-info {

display: none;

}

If you would like to style your Author Box see our custom CSS code on the
OptimizePress 2.5 update.

If you need further help or have additional questions regarding the Author Box, please click the button below to send a message to our support team.
