We have seen this issue happen a few times for users who have issues with the mail functionality on their hosting/server.
A good way to test if this is working is to go to WordPress > Add user and create a new user. Tick the box to receive the information via email and see if you receive the email.
If you do not receive the email this proves that the email functionality is not working on your server. This can be because your hosting company has blocked this – sometimes because of potential spam issues. We do recommend using a professional autoresponder/email marketing solution where possible to try and prevent these issues.
