This guide will show you how to upgrade your OptimizePress 1.0 site to the latest version of the theme.
Step 1: Download the latest version of OptimizePress 1.0
To download the latest version of OptimizePress, you will need to login to the members area. Our new login page is located at http://www.optimizepress1.com/wp-login.php
Your logins will be the same as those when you purchased OptimizePress 1. If you need us to reset your logins please contact our helpdesk by clicking the link at the bottom of this article
Once logged in click the Customer Hub > Downloads link at the top of the page to access the downloads section and click the download OptimizePress 1.63 link (you may need to right click and select save as to save this file to your computer.
Step 2: Deactivate OptimizePress
Login to your OptimizePress website and click Appearance > Themes.
You now need to activate ANY other theme on your website – this will in turn DEACTIVATE OptimizePress (as you can only have one theme active at any one time.
Click “Activate” on any other theme you have installed on the Appearance > Themes page
Step 3: Delete OptimizePress
Now click the theme information link on your OptimizePress theme (which should now be deactivated) and click Delete…
Click the “Delete” link once you open the theme information –
Note this will NOT remove any of your content but be aware any custom modifications to PHP or CSS files made outside of WordPress will be lost (if you have made custom modifications contact your web designer)
Step 4: Reinstall OptimizePress
Once you have removed OptimizePress, you can install the latest version. You can do this by going to Appearance > Themes > Add New (at the top of the page)
On the next page, select “Upload” and browse for the new zip file you downloaded from our website and select “Install Now”
Note: installing through WordPress will require you to have at least 10mb of upload allowance on your website. If you do not have this space you will need to install via FTP. Contact our support team if you require assistance with this
Step 5: Activate OptimizePress (and you\’re done!)
Once the files are uploaded, you should see the installation complete and the option to “Activate” – just click that link and you should be all done. You won\’t be required to activate the theme with our licensing system again as long as your site was previously licensed
